Deputy Principal - Teacher Room 12
I am delighted to have joined the staff at Te Horo School this year as Deputy Principal and Team Leader / Teacher of the Year 7/8 team. My career has predominately been working with Year 3 - 6 students, where I have a strong interest in the teaching and learning of literacy and mathematics. I have spent two years learning to be a mathematics specialist teacher, so consider mathematics teaching and developing a growth mindset in children as strengths of my teaching practice Leading PE/Health has also being an area of interest and responsibility in previous schools. Te Horo School is the 4th school I have taught at and I am particularly excited about working within the rural setting and developing relationships with the community. I live locally, in Sunny Otaki and am a Mum to 2 preschool aged children. I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, and don't mind a wee bit of fishing and camping!
